Raising the visibility and celebrating the work of Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs). Amnesty Ireland celebrated the human rights work of two brave women human rights defenders Vitalina Koval and Azza Soliman, by participating in the Global project, Brave Walls. Amnesty Ireland collaborated with artist Emalene Blake who created a mural celebrating the work of WHRDs Vitalina Koval and Azza Soliman at Electric Picnic in Stradbally County Laois. The Brave mural was used as a focal point for activism and as a place for conversation about the issues of human rights defenders with the people attending the festival.

Außerdem wird anlässlich des Weltfrauentags am 8. März 2021 die “Brave Wall” in Berlin Kreuzberg umgesetzt – in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Urban Nation Museum for Urban Contemporary Art. Im Mittelpunkt des Kunstwerks stehen Frauen und so genannte Women Human Rights Defenders. Mehr Informationen dazu findet ihr hier.
